I provide clinical supervision for LMSWs working toward LCSW licensure in Missouri.
I see supervision as much more than getting your hours signed off on. It's a place to slow down and really think about your work. To talk through the cases that leave you wondering what you missed, the clients you can't stop thinking about, the moments when you're not sure what to say, and the parts of being a therapist that don't always get talked about in school.
My goal isn't to teach you to practice exactly like I do. It's to help you develop your own clinical judgment, confidence, and voice as a therapist.
What Supervision Looks Like
Supervision with me is warm, relational, practical, and collaborative. We'll talk about your clients, but we'll also pay attention to what's happening for you in the work.
That might mean thinking through a difficult case, figuring out how to handle a parent or family dynamic, talking about boundaries, noticing your own emotional response to a client, or simply having a place to say, “I have no idea what I'm doing here,” without feeling like you're supposed to already have the answer.
We'll spend time on things like case conceptualization, clinical decision-making, ethics and boundaries, documentation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and navigating difficult situations. But we'll also talk about the things that are harder to learn from a textbook: trusting your instincts, sitting with uncertainty, recognizing your own patterns, and figuring out who you are as a clinician.
My Approach to Supervision
My clinical background is broad. I've worked in schools, private practice, hospital emergency departments, and eating disorder treatment, with experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I became an LCSW clinical supervisor in Missouri in 2021.
My training is rooted in psychodynamic psychotherapy, and I also use CBT, DBT, ACT, ERP, and other evidence-based approaches. I'm less interested in having you fit every client into one particular model and more interested in helping you understand the person sitting in front of you and think critically about what they need.
I'm naturally curious and tend to ask a lot of questions. Sometimes I'll offer another way of looking at something. Sometimes we'll realize together that neither of us has the answer yet and need to think about it some more. That's part of good clinical work too.
I particularly enjoy working with clinicians in school settings, private practice, and those working with children and adolescents, although my supervision is not limited to those areas.
Individual & Group Supervision
Individual supervision: $125 per hour
Individual supervision provides dedicated time to talk through your clinical work, professional development, and any questions or challenges that come up along the way.
Group supervision: $90 per hour
Group supervision is offered based on availability and provides an opportunity to learn not only from your own cases, but from the experiences and perspectives of other clinicians.
Supervision is available in person in Webster Groves or virtually for clinicians located in Missouri.
Missouri LCSW Requirements
If you're working toward LCSW licensure, you are responsible for making sure your supervision and clinical hours meet the current requirements established by the Missouri Committee for Social Workers. I'm happy to help you understand the process and keep track of our supervision, but I always encourage supervisees to stay familiar with the current licensing requirements as well.
