Sliding Scale

At Cornerstone Therapy, we recognize that the benefits of therapy should not be limited to those who have the resources to pay the full cost of sessions. As a result, all of our therapists offer a limited amount of sliding scale openings.

Services

We offer a range of services for children, adolescents, and their parents or caregivers. Sessions typically last 50 minutes.

  • One-on-one: Your child or adolescent meets with one of our therapists one-on-one. For our younger clients, we request parents take part in the first ten minutes and last ten minutes of the session. This allows our therapists to

  • Parent-supported: A therapist leads the session with a parent present.

    • This type of session can be especially helpful for the first few meetings with younger children who are often shy and hesitant to talk to unfamiliar adults. This is very normal and totally OK. Building trust takes time.

  • Family-supported: We are experienced in mediating difficult conversations between children, adolescents, and their caregivers. In situations where separation or divorce is ongoing or upcoming, we can facilitate a conversation with a child or adolescent and both parties.

  • Parent consultation : Meet with a therapist to share your observations and worries you’ve noticed outside therapy sessions. These sessions can help provide perspective on what a child does – or doesn’t – say in session. This time can also be used to identify at-home strategies that would most benefit your child.

In-Person and Virtual Appointments

We offer both in-person appointments at our Webster Groves, Missouri, office as well as virtual appointments. While each therapist’s hours vary, we do offer a limited amount of after school and evening appointments.

Cancellation policy

Clients can cancel or reschedule an appointment anytime, as long as 24 hours notice is provided. If you cancel an appointment within 24 hours notice, or fail to show up, you will be personally charged for the full fee of the appointment regardless of whether you have insurance. If you have a copay, that rate does not apply in this case, because we cannot charge your insurance for a missed session.
