Joshua Statler, MSW, LCSW (He/Him)
Clinical Therapist
I believe that therapy starts with the relationship and that we take a collaborative approach towards treatment, no matter the age, gender, race, ethnicity, etc. It's important to me that in the sessions there is genuine communication and updates throughout the treatment process between all parties involved and we adapt the goals as we go along to make sure we are on the right path and on the same page. I believe in being person-centered, which means I'm here for the client (you) first, and I utilize a variety of different approaches including talk therapy, play therapy, therapy videos, and activities. Also, my dog Riley joins sessions frequently to help make things more comfortable (she's very cute).
I received my Masters in Clinical Social Worker at Saint Louis University, which has allowed me to get a broad range in different experiences in community mental health, case management, suicide assessment, prevention, and safety planning, school counseling, providing community resources, individual work, group work, trauma-informed care, developmental disabilities, working with adults, adolescents, and young kids, and more.
